At our Diagnostic and Heart Center we provide the following diagnostic and therapeutic services:

Nuclear Imaging Scans: Heart, Bone, thyroid, parathyroid, gallbladder, infection imaging, and gastrointestinal imaging. 

We also are one of the few Cancer centers in the state that are able to provide Zevalin treatments for chemotherapy patients.  Zevalin utilizes chemotherapy agents at the same time as nuclear scanning to track the path of the medication.

ECP (External Counterpulsation Therapy) used for the treatment of angina.  Helps patients lower their medication needs, and improves ambulatory status and quality of life.

Chemotherapy and Infusions.

In order to provide Lake Havasu City and area residents the expertise of a cardiologist, Dr. Pareed Aliyar joined Midwest Internal Medicine in January of 2000.  Dr. Aliyar is board certified in cardiovascular medicine.  He has over 25 years of medical experience.

Under the direction of Dr. Paul O’Neill and Dr. Sherif Nasef, Midwest Internal Medicine opened the chemotherapy and infusion center to provide another important aspect of continuity of care for our patients.  While chemotherapy is inherently a bothersome process, the center offers patients a friendly and caring environment in which they can receive therapy.  The easy accessibility of our facility along with supportive and caring staff helps ease the burden on our patients undergoing chemotherapy and infusions.  Midwest Heart and Cancer Center is the only location in Lake Havasu to offer this crucial and life saving service.
